Roberto Carlucci talks to Linea Verde about cetaceans in the Gulf of Taranto, discussing technological innovation and species protection.

Linea Verde Italia arrives in Taranto, the ‘city of two seas’. Monica Caradonna interviews Roberto Carlucci from ULR CoNISMa, University of Bari Aldo Moro, on the impact of the Taranto wind farm on the habits of cetaceans in the Gulf of Taranto. Contrary to fears of a negative impact on marine habitats, monitoring carried out by the ULR in Bari has shown that wind farms can actually enrich marine biodiversity and therefore attract certain cetaceans such as striped dolphins and bottlenose dolphins, which are typically found in the Taranto sea area.
