Notice No. BS9/17 of 26 April 2017: 1. analysis of the state of knowledge on habitats and species in the MPA, in the coastal portion (maritime state property) of the Regional Nature Reserve, in the marine SAC and in the surrounding area;

2. identification of pressures and threats on the area through analysis of anthropogenic impact assessment studies

3. creation of connections between recreational activities and individual habitats and species (trekking on trails in the garrigue, impact of direct removal by recreational fishing on large breeders, impact of lost fishing gear on gorgonian forests, etc.) in order to verify the suitability of existing rules or to prepare any new regulations;

Notice No. BS8/17 of 26 April 2017: Monitoring of the anthropogenic and socio-economic impact in the MPA and in the Natura 2000 Network sites in the area through the following activities:

• Monitoring of the following recreational activities:

– bathing: a direct characterisation of this use will be carried out through the collection of information in the field, by means of visual sampling (weather and sea conditions, number of bathers on the beaches) and detailed monitoring through interviews with bathers (characterisation of tourists, beach habits, knowledge of the area) in the MPA and the SAC.

– diving activities: monitoring will include quantifying the number of dives carried out during the year, visitor turnover and characterisation of users in the MPA and SAC.

– Fishing activities: the characterisation of recreational fishermen authorised to fish in the MPA will be conducted through interviews; the characterisation of recreational fishermen who fish outside the MPA will be conducted through visual monitoring of the stretch of coast between Punta di Bergeggi and Capo Noli to estimate the number of recreational fishermen present daily, the quantity and type of fish caught in the SAC.

• Monitoring of Posidonia beds: monitoring of the coast will be carried out, particularly following storm surges, to assess the quality and quantity of material washed ashore. If necessary, samples of material will be taken.

• Monitoring of the yellow-legged gull population: the nest census will continue and reports of problems from citizens will be collected.

• Processing of data with GIS in order to obtain georeferenced maps of land use that can be superimposed and compared with the various local emergencies, in order to better plan the sustainable management of the MPA.

• Comparison with historical data obtained from monitoring carried out in previous years. Deadline 9/5/17
